Penalty for wrongful dispossession.-Whoever dispossesses a tenant without his consent from his tenancy or any part thereof otherwise than in execution of a decree or than in pursuance of any order under section 39 shall be punishable by a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Assistant Collector First Grade, with fine which may extend to Rs. 1,000.
