Inserted vide H.P. Act No. 20 of 2012. THE SRI SAI UNIVERSITY (ESTABLISHMENT AND REGULATION) ACT, 2010 5 (r) “statutes”, “ordinances” and “regulations” mean respectively, the statutes, ordinances and regulations of the University made under this Act; (s) “student” means a person enrolled in the University for taking a course of study for a degree, diploma or other academic distinction instituted by the University, including a research degree; (t) “study centre” means a centre established and maintained or recognized by the University for the purpose of advising, counseling or for rendering any other assistance required by the students in the context of distance education; (u) “teacher” means a Professor, Reader, Lecturer or any other person required to impart education or to guide research or to render guidance in any form to the students for pursuing a course of study of the University; and (v) “University” means SRI SAI University, Palampur, Himachal Pradesh. 1[(w) “Regulatory Commission” means the Himachal Pradesh Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission, established under section 3 of the Himachal Pradesh Private Educational Institutions (Regulatory Commission) Act, 2010 (Act No. 15 of 2011).]
