Congnizance of offences.—An offence punishable under this Act shall be tried in the court of Judicial Magistrate in accordance with the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974): Provided that no court shall take cognizance of any offence punishable under this Act, except upon a complaint in writing made by any officer of the Government authorized by the Government: 11 THE HIMACHAL PRADESH SLUM DWELLERS (PROPRIETARY RIGHTS) ACT, 2022
