District Police Complaints Authority.- (1) The State Government shall establish a Police Complaints Authority in each District to receive complaints of misconduct including criminal misconduct. The authority shall also monitor the status of departmental inquiries against Non- Gazetted Police Officers initiated in the District on the orders of the State Police Complaints Authority. (2) The powers of the District Police Complaint Authority shall be such as may be prescribed with the concurrence of the State Police Complaints Authority.
