Arms, Equipment, Mobility, Communications etc..- (1) The armament of the Armed Police shall be as fixed by the orders of the State Government in an Equipment Table and items shown in the Equipment Table shall be obtained in the manner prescribed. (2) Distribution of arms to the Battalions and District Armed Reserves shall be fixed on the order of the Director-General of Police, who shall also lay down the procedure to be followed for custody and care of arms, ammunition, stock of material for the repairs and maintenance, and manner in which damaged and unserviceable weapons are to be disposed off and the procedure in case of loss of any weapon or ammunition. THE HIMACHAL PRADESH POLICE ACT, 2007 27 (3) The adequacy of arms, equipment, mobility and communications etc. for each Battalion as well as the District Armed Reserve shall be assessed regularly on an annual basis by the officer heading the State Armed Police Organization in consultation with the Commandant and the District Superintendent of Police concerned.
