Power to issue standing orders

Power to issue standing orders.- (1) The Director-General of Police may, subject to the rules and the regulations made under this Act, issue standing orders to carry out the purposes of this Act. (2) Subject to sub-section (1), the Inspector-General, the Deputy Inspector- General, the District Superintendent of Police and Commandant of a Battalion may, with the previous approval of the authority to whom they are directly subordinate and subject to the rules and the regulations made under 66 THE HIMACHAL PRADESH POLICE ACT, 2007 this Act, issue standing instructions within their respective jurisdiction to carry out the purposes of this Act.
