Summary disposal of certain cases.- (1) Any Court taking cognizance of an offence punishable under sections 64, 109, 110, 111, 112, 113, or 114 of this Act, may state upon the summons to be served on the accused person that he may, by a specified date prior to the hearing of the charge, plead guilty to the charge by registered post, and remit to the court such sum not exceeding five thousand rupees as may be specified in the summons. (2) Where an accused person pleads guilty and remits the sum specified in the summons, no further proceedings shall be taken against him in respect of that offence.
