Prosecution of Police Officers.- (1) No court shall take cognizance of any offence under this Act, when the accused person is a Police Officer, except on a report in writing, of the appointing or disciplinary authority. (2) No court below that of a Judicial Magistrate of the First Class shall try any offence under this Act, when any of the accused persons is a Police Officer. (3) No suit or legal proceedings shall lie against a Police Officer for any act or omission done in good faith in the bona-fide discharge of his duties.
