University to follow Government policy in regard to reservation.- (1) The University shall adopt the policy of the Government and orders issued, from time to time, in regard to the reservation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Persons with Disabilities (PWD) for appointment to different posts and for the purpose of admission of students. (2) Twenty five percent of the seats for admission to each course shall be reserved for students who are bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh: Provided that if the requisite number of students fail to apply for the reserved seats, University shall be entitled to fill such seats on the basis of merit from the students residing anywhere in India. (3) Ten seats shall be reserved for Non Resident Indians or the persons sponsored by them.
