Extraordinary pension and gratuity.- (1) With the prior approval of the Government the municipality may give extraordinary pension or gratuity- (a) to an employee injured in the discharge of his duties; (b) to the family of an employee who is killed in the discharge of his duties. (2) The extraordinary pension or the gratuity shall not exceed the sum to which such member of service or his family would be entitled if he was an employee under the State Government.
