Members and employees to be Public servants. -Every 4[office bearer] of the municipality and every person employed `by the municipality, whether for the whole or part of his time, shall be deemed to be a public servant within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (45 of 1860). 1 Proviso added vide Act No. 23 of 2000.
