Supply of water for other than domestic purposes.- (1) The municipality may supply water for any purpose other than a domestic purpose, on receiving a written application specifying the purpose for which such supply is required and the quantity likely to be consumed : 68 Provided that for building purposes, water supply shall be made for a period of one year in the first instance, on an application accompanied by a copy of a building plan duly sanctioned by the competent authority and thereafter be extended, by six months at a time for a period of not exceeding the period allowed for the completion of the construction or for three years, whichever is less: Provided further that the water supply made, for the building purposes, on or before the commencement of this Act, shall continue for a period of three years reckoned from such commencement. (2) For all water supplied under sub-section (1) payment shall be made at a rate not less than the rate prescribed under sub-section (2) of section
