Power to acquire canal on demand of owner.- On receipt of notice under section 35, the State Government shall by notification, declare that the said canal will be acquired after a day to be named in the said 18 THE HIMACHAL PRADESH MINOR CANALS ACT, 1976 notification, not being earlier than three months from the date thereof, and after the issue of such notification, the Collector shall proceed to acquire the said canal under the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (1 of 1894).
