Applications for license in case of existing lifts.- (1) Notwithstanding anything contained in sections 3 and 4 every owner of a place (except installation in State Government buildings), in which a lift has been installed before the commencement of this Act, shall, within two months from the date of commencement of this Act, apply for a license for the working of such lift. (2) The provisions of sub-sections (2) and (3) of section 4 shall, so far as may be, apply to such application and shall be subject to payment of fee of Rs. 750/-.
