Penalty for obstructing Inspector.- Whoever wilfully obstructs an Inspector in the exercise of any power conferred on him by or under this Act, or intentionally omits to produce on demand in writing by an Inspector any register, record or notice in his custody which may be required to be kept in pursuance of this Act or of any rule made thereunder shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three months, or with fine which may extend to 2[five thousand] rupees, or with both.
