Officers and authorities.- (1) The State Government may for the purposes of this Act appoint- (1) Director of Consolidation; (2) Settlement Officer (Consolidation); (3) Consolidation Officer; (4) Assistant Consolidation Officer; and (5) such other persons as it thinks proper. THE HIMACHAL PRADESH HOLDINGS (CONSOLIDATION AND PREVENTION OF 21 FRAGMENTATION) ACT, 1971 (2) The Director of Consolidation shall perform such duties and exercise such powers of supervision and superintendence over the work of the Settlement Officer (Consolidation), Consolidation Officer and Assistant Consolidation Officer as may be prescribed. (3) The Settlement Officer (Consolidation), the Consolidation Officer and the Assistant Consolidation Officer shall exercise the powers and perform the duties conferred or imposed upon them by or under this Act or the rules framed thereunder.
