Power to amend Schedule-I .- (1) The Government may, if it is of opinion that it is expedient or necessary in the public interest so to do, by notification in the Official Gazette, add to, omit from, the Schedule-I any Hindu Public Religious Institution and Charitable Endowment and on any such notification being issued, the Schedule-I shall be deemed to be amended accordingly. (2) Every such notification shall, as soon as possible after it is issued, be laid before the Legislative Assembly of the State.
