Public servants indemnified for acts done under this Act.- (1) All persons empowered to exercise powers and perform duties under this Act or rules made thereunder shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of section 21 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 (45 of 1860). (2) No suit or other legal proceedings shall lie in respect of the exercise of any powers or discretion conferred by this Act, or against any public servant or person duly appointed or authorised under this Act, in respect of anything in good faith done or purporting to be done under the provisions thereof or the rules made thereunder.
