Prohibition of sale etc. of liquor.- (1) No liquor shall be sold except under the authority and subject to the terms and conditions of a license granted, in this behalf, by the Financial Commissioner or Collector, as the case may be. (2) No liquor shall be sold from a place other than the place specified in the license granted under sub-section (1). (3) No person shall allow consumption of liquor at any public place, except under the authority of a license granted under sub-section (1). (4) Nothing in this section applies to the sale of any foreign liquor lawfully procured by any person for his private use and sold by him or on his behalf or on behalf of his representatives in interest upon his quitting a station or after his demise.
