Inspecting Officers.- (1) The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint Chief Electrical Inspector and any other officer, to assist the Chief Electrical Inspector, to be the Inspecting Officer to inspect records and returns maintained under section 5. (2) The Inspecting Officer shall perform such duties and exercise such powers, as may be prescribed, for the purpose of carrying into effect the provisions of this Act and the rules made thereunder.
