Prohibition of ragging.- (1) No person shall practise ragging in any form, within or outside the premises of an educational institution. (2) Any person who contravenes the provisions of sub-section (1), shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years or with fine which may extend to fifty thousand rupees or with both.
