Accounts, Audit and Annual report of the Board.- (1) The Board shall prepare once every year, in such form and at such time as may be prescribed, an annual report, giving a true and full account of its activities during the previous year, and shall forward a copy thereof to the State Government. (2) The accounts of the Board shall be audited annually by the Examiner of the Local Audit Department or by such other person as the State Government may direct. (3) As soon as the accounts of the Board are audited, the Board shall send a copy of the audit report to the State Government. (4) Soon after the submission of the audit report under sub-section (3), and the annual report under sub-section (1), by the Board, the State Government shall cause the said reports to be laid before the State Legislative Assembly: Provided that when the reports are to be laid in the budget session, these shall be laid on the table of the House on the first sitting of the said session: Provided further that the period intervening the close of the financial year to which the reports pertain and the laying of reports, shall not exceed nine months.
