Establishment of the Board.- (1) The State Government may, by notification, for coordinating the activities of markets and for development, promotion and regulation of agricultural marketing, establish the Himachal Pradesh State Agricultural Marketing Board. (2) The Board shall be a body corporate having perpetual succession and a common seal and may sue and be sued in its corporate name and shall be competent to acquire and hold property both moveable and immovable and to lease, sale or otherwise transfer any such property amid to contract and to do all other things necessary for the purpose for which it is established.
