(1) The East Punjab Urban Rent Restriction Act, 1949 (East Punjab Act No. 3 of 1949); is hereby repealed : Provided that such repeal shall not affect any proceedings pending or order-passed immediately before the commencement of this Act which shall be continued and disposed of or enforced as if the said Act had nor been repeaIed. (2) Notwithstandingsuchrepeal,anythingdoneoranyaction taken under the Act so repealed (including any rule, notification or order made) which is not inconsistent wi th the provisions of this Act, be deemed to have been done or I, -1 under the corresponding provisions of this Act as if this Act were in force at the time such thing was done or action was taken, and shall continue to be in force, unless and until superseded by anything done or any action taken under this Acr.
