(1) A selection committee for appointments of any professor, teacher and other Gazetted posts shall be constituted as follows:- (i) the Vice-Chancellor (Chairman); (ii) the Director, Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College, Karnal; (iii) Head of the concerned Department (except for the post of Medical Superintendent, Principal, Dental College, University of Health Sciences, Karnal. Controller of Examination and Controller of Finance); (iv) two outside experts in the concerned subject/area out of the list recommended by the Vice-Chancellor and approved by the Executive Council; (v) nominee of the Chancellor; (vi) the Registrar, shall be the Secretary of the selection committee. Note: In case of selection for Dental College, University of Health Sciences, Karnal, the Principal, Dental College, University of Health Sciences, Karnal shall also be the member of the selection committee. (2) The quorum shall be of four members out of which one outside expert must be present. (3) The selection committee shall consider and submit to the Executive Council recommendations as to the appointment referred to it. If the Executive Council is unable to accept the recommendations made by the committee, it shall record its reasons and submit the case to the Chancellor for final orders.
