(1) The Law Officer shall be a whole time salaried officer of the University and shall be appointed by the Executive Council on the recommendation of Vice- Chancellor:- (a) by transfer or deputation of an officer having ten years experience as Law Officer in the State Government; or (b) by direct recruitment through selection as per qualifications and experience decided by the Executive Council from time to time. (2) The Law Officer shall be responsible for handling all the legal matters of the University and giving his expert advice on such matters. (3) He shall help the University administration in legal matters in any court of law. (4) Suitable remuneration shall be attached to the office of the Law Officer.
