(1) When any land is required for the purposes of this Act, the State Government may, on the request of the trust requiring it, proceed to acquire it under the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act, and on payment by the trust of compensation awarded under that Act and of all other charges incurred by the State Government on account of the acquisition, the land shall vest in the trust. (2) The trust shall be deemed to be a local authority for the purposes of the Land Acquisition Act.
