The State Govciiunent may, by notification in the Official Gazette, direc [that the powers exercis- able by it under this Act shall, in such circumstances and under such conditions, if any, as may be specified 1955 : Pepsu Aet 13] TENANCY AND AGRICULTURAL 163 LANDS in the notification, be exercisable also by an officer subordinate to the State Government.
