(1) A tenant may at any time apply in writing hopcine im. to the landowner for permission to make improvements at Drovements his own expense on the land leased to him. (2) If, within one month of the receipt of such appli- cation, the landowner fails or refuses, without reasonable cause, to grant the required permission to the tenant, the tenant may make an application within the prescribed period to the prescribed authority for the grant of such Pe permission. | (3) Where an apvlication is made to the preseribed authority under sub-section (2), the prescribed authority after giving the parties an opportunity of being heard, may make such order thereon as it may deem fit. (4) Where a tenant makes any improvements on the land leased to him, in accordance with an order made by the prescribed authority under sub-section (3), the tenant shall be deemed to have made such improvements with the permission of the landowner. 3 TENANCY AND AGRICULTURAL [1955 : Pepsu Act 15 133 LANDS (5) In this section, the expression ‘tenant’ includes a sub-tenant.
