Subject to the provisions of this Act, the powers and functions of the Powers and Academic Committee shall be as follows, namely:— functions of Academic (a) 1o deal with policy matters relating to teaching and training of Commitiee. students; (b) to frame general rules for admissions and migration of students; (¢) to recommend syllabi of various courses for approval of the Board; (d) to recommend to the department for creation or abolition of posts in the interest of cffective teaching in various disciplines: (e) to recommend equivalency for various courses to the Board; () to constitute sub-committees to discharge its functions.
