In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,- (a) “Punjab Act” and “East Punjab Act” mean the Act enacted by a competent legislature or other competent authority before the 1st November, 1966 for the State of Punjab or the East Punjab, as the case may be and as are applicable to the State of Haryana on the commencement of this Act; (b) “Schedule” means the Schedule appended to this Act.
