Repeal and Savings.- The Punjab Tenants (Security of Tenures) Act, 1950 (Act XII of 1950), and the Punjab Tenants (Security of Tenures) Amendment Act, 1951 (President's Act V of 1951), are hereby repealed but, notwithstanding such repeal and notwithstanding the expiry of the Prevention of Ejectment (Temporary Powers) Ordinance, 1952, anything done or any action taken in the exercise of any power conferred by or under this said Acts or the said Ordinance to the extent of its being consistent with the provisions of this Act, shall be deemed to have been done or taken in exercise of the powers conferred by or under this Act, as if this Act was in force on the day on which such thing was done or action taken.
