It shall be lawful for the Deputy Commissioner and for his subordinate officers, servants, care takers and workmen, from time to time, as occasion may require,— (a) to enter upon and survey any land comprised within any 2* * * * area in regard to which any notification has been issued under section 3 or section 8 3[or in regard to which a notification is proposed to be issued under section 5-A]; (b) to erect bench-marks on and to delimit and demarcate the boundaries of any such; (c) to do all other acts and things which may be necessary in order adequately to preserve or protect any land or to give effect to all or any of the provisions of this Act :
