Inspectors.-- (1) The Government may, by notification, appoint such persons or class of persons as it may think fit to be Inspectors for carrying out the purposes of this Act for such areas as may be specified in the notification. (2) Every Inspector shall be deemed to be a public servant within the meaning of section 21 of Indian Penal Code (Central Act XLV of 160).
