(1) On recruitment, all directly recruited guarding personnel or executive officers shall undergo an initial basic/induction training course. (2) No newly recruited guarding personnel or executive officer shall be deputed on active duty in prison without undergoing basic training. (3) The probation period shall not be treated as completed till the time, guarding personnel or executive officers undergo and successfully completes basic/ induction training. (4) The curriculum of the training school shall be reviewed from time to time in order to keep the same in tune with operational requirements of the department, international and national standards and best practices and to meet the objectives of reformation and rehabilitation of prisoners.
