Implementation of Inter-operable Criminal Justice System shall be a key component that has to be achieved in the revamped Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System (CCTNS) project. It comprises the following components, namely: – (a) roll out of prisons software in the States /Union Territories; (b) assessment based provisioning hardware and network for prisons; (c) provisioning of hardware for prosecution offices and forensic labs; (d) development of modules for forensic laboratories and Prosecution Offices; and (e) integration of Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System (CCTNS) with all these applications.
