The Superintendent shall provide work to all prisoners convicted and sentenced to rigorous imprisonment, keeping the following factors in view, namely :– (a) physical and mental fitness of a convict for a particular work; (b) previous experience and training in any industry, trade or family profession of the convict; (c) convict’s aptitude or inclination for a particular work and length of sentence; and (d) rehabilitative prospects on his release from prison.
