(1) When an escape has taken place and attempts at recapture have been in-effectual, immediate notice shall be sent to the Superintendent of Police and to the District Magistrate accompanied in each case by a descriptive roll of the prisoner with all the information available including his usual place of residence, for the purpose of identification. If the prisoner belongs to a district other than that in which he was confined, reports and descriptive rolls shall be sent to the Suprintendent of Police and Magistrate of that district as well as to all the districts he is likely to traverse on his way to his home. A report and descriptive roll shall also be sent to the Inspector- General of the Railway Police in case a prisoner is likely to avail himself of the railway and if it appears expedient, the information shall be sent to the police of other districts. (2) The Superintendent shall, on the occurrence of an escape or any other serious unusual event, immediately report to the Director General, Commissioner of Police/Superintendent of Police, District Magistrate and District and Sessions Judge. Report to Director General of escape and recapture.
