Every medical subordinate staff whose only duty is in connection with prison shall be, - (a) entitled to draw the ordinary pay of his grade and such special allowance as the State Government has sanctioned for the particular prison to which he is attached on the condition of satisfactory performance of duties; (b) entitled to free Government accommodation; if such accommodation is not available, he shall reside near the prison on approval of the Superintendent and shall be entitled to house-rent in lieu thereof; and (c) liable to not engage in private practice nor absent himself from the prison premises without due permission of the Superintendent or Medical Officer (in charge).
