(1) The Deputy Superintendent (Administration) shall in the immediate supervision of the Superintendent be the overall in charge of every other part of prison administration which is not exclusively related to Deputy Superintendent (Security) and Deputy Superintendent (Industries and Welfare). (2) The Deputy Superintendent (Administration) shall be responsible for the smooth functioning of all the branches under his charge, particularly the under trial section, convict section, hospital management, and establishment section. He shall be responsible for all correspondences relating to these sections with the competent authorities concerned. (3) The Deputy Superintendent (Administration) shall, in immediate supervision of the Superintendent cause to maintain the prison in an efficient condition in respect of computerization, security equipment and other equipment, sanitation, water supply, power supply, food, cleanliness and beautification of prison premises etc. (4) The Deputy Superintendent (Administration) shall be overall in charge of the hospital ward.
