(1) The diet of sick prisoners while in hospital shall be as advised by the Medical Officer (in charge) who may either keep the prisoner on the normal prison diet or may place him on the regular hospital diet, with or without any modification therein and may include any supplements he may consider necessary in consultation with the Superintendent. Care shall be taken that diets reach the prisoners in time. Emergent indents may in cases of urgency be sent at once, but shall be avoided except in cases of necessity.
