(1) On the death of a detenu, a special report with necessary particulars shall be made to the Director General for submission to the Government. The order/warrant authorizing his detention shall at the same time to be returned to the issuing authority through the Director General with an endorsement certifying the prisoner’s death. (2) A report shall be made to the Director General when a detenu is transferred to another jail or released under the orders of the Government. In the latter case, a copy of the order/warrant shall accompany the report with an endorsement certifying the release of the prisoner. HARYANA GOVT. GAZ.
