(1) A condemned prisoner shall not be removed to the prison hospital for treatment without the special sanction of the Superintendent. If such prisoner is removed to the prison hospital, he shall be segregated from all other prisoners in the hospital and a special guard shall be posted as required. (2) A condemned prisoner shall not be removed to any outside hospital for treatment without the special sanction of the Director General: Provided that the Superintendent may order the removal of such prisoner to an outside hospital in anticipation of sanction if the Medical Officer certifies that the prisoner is in danger of dying and requires immediate treatment in an outside hospital. When such prisoner is removed to an outside hospital, he shall be taken by a special police escort and kept segregated from all other prisoners in the hospital, and a special guard be posted at the hospital as required.
