The concerned District Magistrate shall be responsible for constituting Internal Complaints Committee to be headed by an Executive Magistrate, preferably female, and a prison officer nominated by the Superintendent as Member Secretary, in every prison under the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (Central Act 14 of 2013) and the rules framed thereunder to enquire into any complaint of sexual harassment of a female prisoner.
