(1) The locks of enclosure and barracks, where women are confined, shall be different from those in use in other parts of the prisons so that there is no possibility of keys of locks of other enclosures being misused for opening enclosures for women prisoners. (2) Suitable measures shall be taken (including the provision of alarm bells) to ensure minimum delay in opening barracks in case of an emergency. (3) The main entrance door of the female enclosure shall have a double lock system. The keys of the various locks in use in the female enclosure shall (other than the outer lock of the main entrance gate) be kept in possession of the female guarding personnel during morning lockout to evening lockup. Key of the outer gate of main entrance shall remain with Duty Officer from the lock- out in the morning to the lock-up in the evening. (4) At the time of lock-up of the female enclosure, the female guarding personnel shall lock all the prisoners into their wards and having done so, make the keys over to the Deputy Superintendent (Administration)except the inner main entrance gate key, which shall always be in the possession of the female guarding personnel. (5) The Deputy Superintendent (Administration) shall retain all keys of the female enclosure after evening lock-up including the outer lock of the main entrance, till morning lock-out. Ornaments.
