The Superintendent or Deputy Superintendent (Administration) of the receiving prison shall duly acknowledge the receipt of the prisoners and of the documents and property relating to them which is detained by him. The receipt shall be made over to the police and simultaneous intimation shall be sent to the dispatching prison. Articles of clothing and other government property sent with the prisoner shall be taken over in the account of the receiving prison. Property so detained shall be accounted for in the registers of both the prisons and in the indents for such articles subsequently submitted. 1276 HARYANA GOVT. GAZ. On the transfer of a prisoner, the Deputy Superintendent (Administration) of the dispatching prison shall get a list of the prisoner's item prepared in triplicate, as entered in the prisoner register, and obtain the signature of the officer in charge of the escort for the item on the counterfoil, as a token of receipt. The duplicate and triplicate forms, the former signed by the Deputy Superintendent (Administration) of the dispatching prison, together with the item, shall be given to the Officer in charge of the escort to be handed over to the receiving prison, where the duplicate list shall be retained and filed. If it is found on the arrival of the prisoner at their destination that the item received does not correspond with the list, immediate notice of the fact shall be given to the Superintendent of the dispatching prison, who shall institute an enquiry into the matter.
