(1) When prisoners are about to be transferred, they shall be paraded inside the prison, and the Superintendent shall satisfy himself that the clothing and bedding of each prisoner are in good order and proper quantity. (2) They shall be carefully searched in the presence of the Deputy Superintendent (Security) and of the officer in charge of the police escort, from whom a receipt shall be taken for the prisoner’s property and documents made over to him. Female prisoners shall be searched by female staff. Intimation to be sent on dispatch of prisoners.
