(1) The In-charge convict section shall maintain an appeal and revision register, in such form as specified by the Director General from time to time. He shall cause the register to be placed before the Superintendent as frequently as may be necessary. Starting from the date on which the prisoner expresses his desire to file an appeal or revision, till the date of receipt of the order of the appellate court disposing of the said appeal or revision, all such dates on which action is taken during the entire process shall be entered in such register and each entry attested by the Superintendent or Deputy Superintendent (Administration). (2) The Superintendent or Deputy Superintendent (Administration) shall ensure that there is no delay in the process of disposing of appeals, revisions, or petitions. The In-charge convict section is directly responsible to the Superintendent or Deputy Superintendent (Administration) in this regard. Allowing convicts to sign a power-of- attorney.
