When a prisoner, whose sentence includes an order of imprisonment in default of payment of fine, is received by transfer from a prison other than the prison in which he was first confined, intimation shall forthwith be given by the receiving prison to the Superintendent where he was first confined who shall cause a record or the receipt of such intimation to be made in the admission register of his prison. The Superintendent of the prison to which a prisoner was first committed is responsible for seeing that notification of payment of the fine received by him is promptly transmitted to the prison in which the prisoner is confined, and such notice shall be sent by any approved means of communication. Imprisonment in default of giving security in addition to a substantive sentence.
