(1) The date on which a prisoner is entitled to be released shall be calculated by the In- charge convict section under the supervision of the Deputy Superintendent (Administration) and an entry made in the release register under that date, giving the name and the serial number of the prisoner. A reference note shall be made on the back of the commitment warrant also for cross- checking along with the date and signature of the in-charge convict section. (2) In case the date of release is changed either by the imposition of additional imprisonment or by the remission of any part of the sentence, or because of absconding from bail or on escape, a new date of release shall be determined and an entry made in the release register to that effect. The old entry shall be scored through with red ink and a reference made against it of the new date fixed. (3) The Deputy Superintendent (Administration) shall himself check each entry in the release register and admission register. He shall be personally responsible for their correctness.
